Childhood memories :-)

Well Frank, our parents are first cousins, and that makes you and Mark second cousins of Ed, Mary and I; more than that we were lucky enough that we lived so near to eachother, family on the doorstep - that was great. We used to walk down to visit you boys; of course as the 'little one' I was always mob-handed with either my brother or sister, or both!! Your parents were always so welcoming; it was a real adventure coming to visit; there was so much vitality in your house. I can remember coming to Donnington Gardens and Erleigh Road. You and I were born in the same year and so we must both have been quite small when you were at Donnington; and yet I can remember it... Later on I remember you had rabbits and I (not allowed any pets) found them fascinating. One day I remember we had a tussle in the garden while I was admiring your rabbits and I sat down into a puddle and got very wet!! I can only remember that we all found it very funny how wet I had become!! In adulthood we lost touch and I am so sorry about that but its not to say that I didn't remember those times because I did, vividly. Latterly, having become reconnected with Mark, I have followed your downs and marvelled at your ups; raising money for Children In Need, when you yourself were so in need, you chose to consider others first. You were, and are still, clearly the vivacious man who I can remember from my childhood and long may that continue. God bless you Frank. xxxx
